Buick Century has been many different cars since the nameplate first appeared in the 1930s. Most notably, it's been a two-door coupe and a four-door sedan and station wagon duo. During the line's fifth generation, which began in 1982, a modern version appeared, and it ran from 1984 to 2005.

The coupe ran until 1993. The station wagon ran until 1996. Afterward, Buick offered the model in a sedan body style only. Notable model years include 1991, when the car got a facelift, and 1997, when the redesigned sixth generation came out. Buick LaCrosse, then all-new, replaced the model for the 2005 model year; it was discontinued in 2004.
